Four clear steps
From signup to an active membership
The PayPal step is an authorization—not a charge today. It confirms the recurring schedule and helps discourage fake or automated registrations.
Create your account
Add secure login details. Professional applicants also provide a public work link and profile image.
Authorize PayPal
Approve the recurring schedule at PayPal. No membership payment is due at signup.
Complete review
Leerecs reviews professional profiles before publishing them. Approval controls when a Musician or Producer profile can go live.
What PayPal does
Authorization protects the community without charging you today
PayPal stores and protects your payment information; Leerecs never receives your card or bank details. The authorization confirms that a real person can maintain the selected membership and creates friction for bot and spam registrations.
Your free period begins when you authorize PayPal. Musician and Producer profiles remain private until the Leerecs review is complete.
Founding codes
Invited founding members may skip PayPal
A valid full-waiver founding code reduces the selected membership to $0 and skips PayPal completely. Codes can be limited by plan, use count and expiration.
Without a valid code, PayPal authorization is required for the recurring membership.

Membership FAQ
Will I be charged when I create my account?
No. The standard offer begins with three free months, so no membership payment is due at signup. The free period begins when you authorize the schedule at PayPal.
Why authorize PayPal before my professional profile is visible?
The authorization confirms the recurring membership schedule and helps deter automated, fraudulent and disposable registrations. Profile review is separate: Musician and Producer pages remain private until approved.
Do I need PayPal?
Without a valid full-waiver founding code, you must authorize the recurring membership through PayPal. PayPal determines which eligible funding methods it offers during checkout.
Is this a freemium membership?
No. These are monthly memberships with an introductory free period. After three free months, months 4–12 are half price; regular pricing starts in month 13.
What happens if I use a founding member code?
A valid full-waiver code makes the selected membership free and skips PayPal. Professional profiles still require review before publication.
Can I cancel?
Yes. You can request cancellation while keeping your Leerecs account. Cancellation stops future membership billing; your account and owned purchases remain yours.
