My Sister Deaf Sense formed in Madrid in 2006. Rodrigo started on Spanish acoustic guitar at home and moved to bass out of necessity, becoming a songwriter-first musician. The band's name reflects their experience playing to what felt like deaf ears in the Spanish rock market. Their album Desert of Believing, produced with Joe Bini, is a raw statement of indie grit and emotional honesty. The song "Almost Serious" captures a low point delivered with irony and distance.
